This estranged bear has obviously been through alot. Tell me what you feel when looking at this pic.

It kind of makes me think of someone who has just committed suicide and that they wanted to protect the innocence of their childhood friend by not allowing them to see that. The bottle and the necktie add to this theory. The bottle could show that they "drank up" some courage and the necktie could be something the bear could remember the victim by because he/she is ending their life. Plus the bear doesn't look like he's bleeding and that the blood came from somewhere else. Which brings me to my next theory (yes i have two)...it may be that the child is beaten by a parent or whatever and that he doesn't want his bear friend to worry. The bottle would then be the parent's. This is what i get from this picture, i don't know if that is what you intended....

Well... I don't think of suicide. It's more like, the character, after loads of drinks, is lying on his bed, sleepy and pensive at the same time. He doesn't want to face the future or what's coming the next days (that's why he's blindfolded), because all he wants to do is to live the present, and the present to him is just enjoying the alcohol. The blood stains are from his nose, for bumping on the walls a lot before reaching the bed.
